With a 4 row QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2 inch, HD touchscreen display the Nokia C6 brings social networking to the palm of your hand. The homescreen can be customised with your favourite applications and can display emails, messages and Facebook updates from your top contacts.
All the email accounts you could ask for are supported such as Yahoo Mail, Hotmail and Gmail. The C6 can store up to 10 different email accounts and let you simply flick between them. This so beats the Ipad! Don’t get me wrong I like apple! I think the only down side to the Nokia booklet 3G is that there is no big multitouch trackpad like the Macbooks/Macbook pro’s and there is no Mac OS X. If it had that it would be the perfect netbook!! Sometimes I wish apple wasn’t so much attached to their own hardware. But yeah… almost everyone knows that the hardware + software combo made apple hot…

just last sturday i had to choose between e63 and e71 and i chose e63 cos its cheaper and i get to save. i dont really need all of the features of e71 and i found a srace difference appart from the wifi speed which is hardly noticeable in my own opinion. and i realised that i own an ipod touch so its pointless. but i actually do love this phone and im currently charging it for its intital use. im still experimenting on this. its my first querky keyboard phone and its actually easier to text!

It´s not implemented, but optional if you purchase the additional Nokia GPS module (I`ve got the LD-4W, about 40€). Nokia Maps is preinstalled on the phone, but as I said it also works fine with Google Maps.

This is a great phone for business and messaging purposes, especially because of the full keyboard and WiFi, which comes in really handy. GPS works fine with Nokia GPS modules and GoogleMaps. The MP3 player and radio is ok, there is some background noise, indeed. To me the biggest drawback of this phone is that it has a tendency to get “jammed”, e.g. when you´ve been surfing the web or playing games. Only solution is to switch off and reboot, firmware updates didn´t help, so far.

The N900 broke the boundaries set for mobile phones. Now the future phones may be able to do this faster (well actually I don’t think they will ever be able to compete with current computers, but will be able to compete with 3-6 year old computers).
BTW Nokia provide a cleaning cloth with the phone..you should use it more often

I think many people have misjudged the point of the headphone cover. Its there because if you often use headphones, then you put it away in the box, rather than always having a little lever hanging off. And if you dont use it for personal music, then leave it on forever to prevent dust getting in. It also looks neater with it in. I quite like the idea to be honest. Its not to save money either; if that was the case then why include it at all?!

The hardware doesn’t really stretch to running Vista or 7… or even xp for that matter as far as i know.
My guess is the processor needs to be emulated (Windows doesn’t have support for arm processor) which brings the expected performance even lower.
So Xp, vista and 7 seem a little improbable for this particular device.

The N900 is a device that when you have it in your hand, you really won’t stop using it because of the raw power and features behind it, an amazing phone.
Shame Nokia have been doing a bad job at supporting it however apparently its going to be host to the new nokia+intel OS, Meego. Lets hope this is true!

One last thing, if you are getting this phone for its music fetaures then you might get disappointed, it is not that great … i still use my iPod! the volume is not high enough and the equalizer does not seem to really affect anything, it is not that bad, it is just not that great.

I got this phone a week ago, i love it! it is really easy to use and packed with lots of great applications and gadgets inside … i moved from LG Arena, i hated the touch phones! i need a full QWERTY keyboard, trust me, it can make your life easier if you SMS, Facebook, Tweet, Email a lot

In the US, the total right now is 13 Android cellphones. According to Google on 2010-02-16 , there are 26 world wide. Check androidcompare dott com. Visit their ‘carrier’ tab. im keeping my hero, Legend has better specs i know, But hero is being updated to 2.1 Sense UI in europe anyway..so once i get used to it and enjoy it, i can think about upgrading at a later date. Not much difference. Beautiful phone though! again from HTC!. thanks for making lovely phones HTC!

HI Yunilove, you can’t use AT&T 3G on Nokia 900. That’s not because you live in Indiana, so far Nokia 900 does not support AT&T 3G frequency. Nokia N900 supports WCDMA 900/1700/2100 MHz but AT&T uses WCDMA 850/1900/2100 MHz. Only option with Nokia 900 it use T-Mobile 3G. Hope this would help you.

I can confirm that my previous fears of flash reducing the speed of the test are unfounded.
I have since benchmarked on a friends cable over WiFi at 6.8Mbit, which is identical to what the PC gets on the same connection.
I wish I could test on faster cable, would be interesting to see at what point the N900 can’t keep up, the WiFi limit would be about 25Mbit so I wonder if the N900 could manage it?

@Yunilove The N900 doesn’t support AT&T’s 3G frequencies. There’s nothing you can do to fix that except switch to T-Mobile.

I have the phone but i can not use 3G on it with ATT in Indiana state. I wish someone can help me if there is any update or app that would solve this nightmare. I been using 3G on my Sonyericsson XP1 but when i switched to the Nokia N900 i only get 2.5 which is ***** i guess and slower. if nothing would work soon i am considering switching to t-mobile in future.

The reason it didn’t pick up NYC on the map automatically is because t-mobile provides ip addresses to mobile devices that arent specific. they all show up in the middle of the us. it doesn’t use gps to find his location. if you ever use a tmob device to connect and run this test you’ll see that it does the same thing (doing it right now on my laptop). it doesn’t locate using the gps radio or a wifi ip because it’s on tmobiles network.

@Sam I know what your mean. In todays economy its tough to find a company to work for that pays well and is stable . I have found that if you just work hard and are consistent you can go places . Look at the writer of this article, they are clearly a hard worker and have just been consistent over time and are now enjoying at least what would appear as somewhat of a success.
